One of the biggest mistakes guys make when it comes to style is not adapting their wardrobe properly to the geographic location they are in.
Are you a Boston native, who’s suddenly visiting Miami, and am not sure how to dress?
Or, are you from San Diego, and you’re on a tour of Chicago and confused about how to dress warmly while still looking sharp?
In addition the climate, there are many cultural differences just in the cities of the United States alone. Some of the factors that affect the localization of style include:
- The climate and the oscillation of temperature. For example, San Francisco can go from 80 degrees during the day to 30 degrees at night during summer!
- The overall demographic of the population. Young, hip professionals? Or older, financial crowd?
- The stylishness of the city. New York, and other major fashion capitals have raised the standard of style overall
- Local cultural differences – Miami is more Latin and South American, while Boston is traditional new England
