Straight leg jeans (also referred to as “straight cut jeans”) are pretty much your standard pair of jeans. The width of the legs is consistent from top to bottom, with no flaring of any sort as with bootcut jeans or bell bottoms.
It’s hard to go wrong with straight leg jeans, although the slimming benefits that other styles of jeans provide might be better suited for those who are overweight.
As with any other piece of clothing, fit is key when it comes to straight leg jeans. Make sure that the waist is not so wide that the pants sag below your hips, and that the bottom of the jeans comes right to the top of your shoes.
The trend these days is towards tighter fitting clothing, so experiment with wearing tighter jeans than you’re used to, and don’t be afraid to show off your ass (women will appreciate it).
