Full Definition:

Role models are one of the most important aspects of self-improvement. You’d be hard pressed to find an individual who has excelled in some field or other who hasn’t had at least one role model in his or her life.

It is important to have role models in your life because they stand as testaments to the inherent potential that we all possess. They give us evidence that if we work hard enough and if we want it bad enough, the world is ours to conquer. Why do you think some of the best footballers in the world are birthed in countries like Brazil and Argentina? It’s because kids from these countries have role models that have soared to the very zenith of the footballing world and instilled in their fans a belief that they too can become living legends.

Role models are also important because they can provide the answers to the problems that might stand in the way of your success. If you find yourself in trying circumstances with countless barriers between you and success, you only need to choose a few role models who come from similar backgrounds and situations such as yours to find the answers.

In addition to this, your role models can also greatly speed up your own journey on the road to success. One of the fundamental techniques in NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is the process of modelling. Modelling, in the most simplest of terms, is the process of studying what makes an individual great at something and emulating these behaviors and characteristics. By having role models you avail yourself with an infinite body of knowledge you can draw upon to model behaviors and qualities crucial for success.

With so many pickup gurus around today, choosing a role model as a pickup artist can be a difficult task. The easiest way to choose a role model from the countless “legends” vying for the devotion of new students is to choose those that have transcended pickup. It is important to remember that although a guy can become incredibly good at the game, it doesn’t necessarily make him a good role model. By seeking out guys that have moved past just picking up hot chicks and built successful lives for themselves, you can emulate the traits and actions needed to become a complete and successful man.
