• Moving Target/Set

Quick Definition: A target or group of girls that are in motion.

    Full Definition:

Moving targets and sets refer to any group of people that a PUA wants to approach that are in motion. Moving sets prove more challenging to approach because the PUA has to stop them, get their attention, and get some kind of close before they need to head off to wherever they’re going.

As the pick up artist Mystery notes, “objects in motion tend to stay in motion.” Moving sets are harder to stop, so there are specific techniques that can be used for picking up moving sets.

Moving sets are most commonly encountered during day game and when doing street game, approaching girls that are not in a social environment, who usually are on their way to some other destination (work, shopping, etc.). As such, it’s usually best to figure out their logistics (are they in a hurry?) and go for a number close to follow up on later. If they aren’t in a rush, it’s also possible to set up an insta-date right then and there.

In MM, an indirect approach sideways and moving with the target while opening her is used. In natural game, it is possible to say “excuse me” and couple it with a physical “stop” signal with the PUA’s hands and body language. Once the PUA gets their attention, they can transition into more natural talk and escalation.

    Usage:

Street game can be harder because of a lot of moving targets.
