Prior to becoming “Style” in the community, Neil Strauss was already a well known name in the writing and journalist community. Going by the pen name of “Chris Powles”, Style wrote for the The New Yrok Times and Rolling Stones and co-authored (as a ghost writer for celebrities): The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell with Marilyn Manson, The Dirt with Mötley Crüe, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale with Jenna Jameson, and Don’t Try This At Home with Dave Navarro.
In 2005, Neil Strauss, being an already successful writer with connections in the publishing industry, published his 2 years of experience in the seduction community in his memoir The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists. This event marked a major turning point for the seduction community. The lid was blew open on the once secretive and elusive seduction community. Similarly, commercialization of PUA and dating projects started to proliferate the market as more and more people took interest into this art form.
Style Quotes
“If there was anything I’d learned, it’s that the man never chooses the woman. All he can do is give her an opportunity to choose him.”
“Some women like to make extremely sexual comments after meeting a man. It is a shit test. If the guy becomes uncomfortable, he fails; however, if he takes the bait and gets excited or says something sexual in response, he also fails. After watching the British television character Ali G, I discovered the solution: Just look her in the eye, nod approvingly, and, with a slight smile creeping across your face, say, ‘Respect,’ in a smart-ass tone.”

Hi, I’m currently reading your book “The Game” and I’m really enjoyng it. I must say your story is very interesting, and I wonder if this stuff will also work for me.
I’m kinda of nervous writting this message and I sincerely hope you don’t mind some english mistakes, ’cause it ain’t my mother language (I’m Brazilian).
Anyway, I’d like to know if you pretend to do pua workshops abroad…
Also, I must say that, for a guy of only 19, I have some serious trouble with women, and I believe that caring a lot about love and those Romeo/Juliet things are the problem. The thing is, I haven’t been able to abandon such principles, even though I’m trying hard to. Any suggestion? Or is there any utility in such feelings ?
Thanks for the help.
