Stack Forward
Quick Definition: A routine or topic that is used to move the interaction forward with a new frame that involves new material.
Full Definition:
A stack forward is the process of moving the interaction along, usually when one routine or conversation topic has ended, and sometimes to reach a hook point in a stalled set.
Stack forwards are great when newbies or even PUAs when they run out of interesting material, and the set has not yet hooked. Comedians also use stack forward material to change the subject, or even when a joke does not go so well with the crowd. Stack forward can also be used to initiative DHV spikes via DHV chains.
However, PUAs need to be careful not to stack forward over and over again, as they can develop what is known as “dancing monkey syndrome”.
Usage:
Stack Forward to practice your material and also deal with the social pressure of ploughing.
