Full Definition:
Plowing is the idea of continuing to push through with a pickup, even if it doesn’t appear to be going well. Plowing is an important skill for PUAs to master, because pick up attempts do not always go smoothly. Sometimes, the woman will be totally into the PUA and throwing IOIs left and right, but more often than not, women who are being hit on will put up some initial resistance. Being able to plow through this resistance often marks the difference between a successful pickup and a failed one.
Plowing at the heart of it comes down to maintaining a strong frame and being able to stand up to social pressure. By keeping a strong frame, the PUA can overcome any shit tests or objections that a woman might throw at him, and turn the situation to his favor.
Even if a set is going terribly, it can still be valuable for a PUA to continue plowing, because they can learn from the experience. The more adverse experiences the PUA finds himself in, the more experience he gains in turning a bad situation into a good one. By persisting in an uncomfortable situation, the PUA is able to grow a thicker skin and learn how to stand up to social pressure.
In general, new PUAs tend to eject from sets way too early. A good rule for PUAs to follow is to continue to stay in set until the woman either excuses herself or until she tells him explicitly to go away.
Depending on the situation, ejecting too early is almost always worse than trying to plough through a set, as the latter has a chance of success, while the former does not.

For goodness sake, if she gives you the look, just leave her alone. Why make things awkward if you have to push for attraction that isn’t there? Just leave it.
Sometimes it’s difficult to tell whether a woman is genuinely disinterested in you or just giving you a hard time. Plowing can help figure that out. I know I’ve been in situations where things didn’t appear to be going well at first, but I ended up getting a close because I plowed. Persistence can go a long way in pickup sometimes.
Would have to watch it to believe it! It is like trying to sell yourself, which in fact you are! Couldn’t there be a smoother way? So…your plowing until the look is over or you are clearly butted off??!! How could that build any strong social backgound if the outcome is the later? I mean, it seems you would not be accepted in that set or nearby sets for the rest of the nite at a party
Obviously, you want to calibrate your approach to suit the situation. The point is that a lot of guys give up too quickly, mistaking shits tests for genuine disinterest, when they might have succeeded if they’d stuck around a little longer. Sometimes a little persistence goes a long way.
