Biologically, to survive, we must pass on our genes. As such, as organisms, we are designed as engine of survival. Our bodies have evolved to hunt, survive, replicate, and rear our offspring. In biology, the goal in life is the pass on our genetics, so that they may evolve and continue to survive.
Engine of survival theory is not specific to humans, and extend to all other organisms that have lived on this planet for a long time and has evolved since the beginning of time.
While some may find it bleak to compare the meaning of life to passing on one’s genes, people are sure to have other goals in life. This phrase or expression is merely a explanation for the meaning of life from a evolutionary biology perspective.
