Full Definition:
Email closes are usually not solid closes and can happen if the girl has a boyfriend, or does not feel comfortable giving you her phone number. It is also possible that she does not have a phone (younger girls).
An email close can still be a good lead, allowing time for the PUA to write an email and add her on various online social networks such as Facebook, and develop the relationship further online.
Usage:
I email closed the cutie on campus.
