Blow outs are used to describe when a set goes bad. Blow outs can happen in the beginning of a set, where the PUA can make a harsh neg without enough attraction towards the target, for example. It can also occur later on with poor calibration such as an insult (not a neg) or a social faux pas that was so bad (i.e. drinking from her glass without permission) that the girl would have lost significant social value if she stayed with the PUA.

Blow outs, though the term sounds bad, can range from the girls politely excusing themselves to verbal insults and being told to go away. In the former case, usually it is because the PUA has not reached the hook point or had issues with the opening routine. The latter can be caused by harsh negs without attraction, improper calibration, or the mood of the girl on that particular day. PUAs should not take blow outs personally and learn from the experience, so as not to get blown out in future sets.
