Big Mouth Theory
Quick Definition:A theory that explains why, on average, people who talk more tend to have more success in life, as well as with women.
Full Definition:
Words are powerful, and speaking often has a reoccurring pattern of reinforcing someone’s own reality and frame. As with all concepts, there is a reversal when given in extreme, such as one talking too much and acting like a clown at a venue. In a business environment, sometimes it is best not to speak one’s mind too freely, as the opportunity cost of pissing off a boss is high.
On a different basis, speaking one’s mind freely and being “free” in a club environment, where no one has that much power over your livelihood can subcommunicate alpha-ness and a willingness to emote freely.
