Beta Boy Friend (BBF)
Quick Definition: A boyfriend of an HB who exhibits very few Alpha traits and is most often a beta male.
Full Definition:
Beta boyfriends usually are not in control of the relationship, and the power structure remains with the woman. This is the case with many AFC relationships. BBFs can be with alpha females, or just regular females who have sensed the male’s weakness and lack of sexual choice, and thus leverage their power in the relationship
In many cases, power as it relates to sexual selection, when increased or decreased, almost always responds in the opposite direction for the opposite gender. (Robin Baker, Sperm Wars) For example, an advantaged male who has many female options has a better chance of passing on his genes, this hurts the woman as she now has to compete with other females for his sperm. Similarly, the woman who is attractive will have more opportunities to cheat with a suitor in order to collect a better genetic sample from an alpha male. (And reverse rationalize later). These are hard wired biological triggers.
A BBF can be AMOGed by a PUA easily in field (if the PUA chooses to do so), due to his lack of experience and strong frame. In a relationship, sometimes the BBF can lose his GF to a PUA. It is also possible for the girl to simply sleep with the seducer while retaining her BBF for a long term relationship.
Usage:
That guy’s just her BBF– you could easily AMOG him if you wanted to.
